Before any digging, we call OUPS (or Kentucky 811 for Northern Kentucky properties) to locate all underground utilities. We take this step on every residential project, every time — it protects your home, our crew, and the utility infrastructure your household depends on.

Cincinnati's heavy clay soils affect residential excavation in ways that surprise homeowners who haven't been through it before. Clay excavates cleanly and holds a wall face well, which is a plus — but excavated clay is bulky, doesn't compact back to its original volume easily, and can become very heavy and sticky when wet. We plan spoil management accordingly and discuss your options for the excavated material during the quoting process.

Pool excavation is one of our most common residential jobs, particularly in established neighborhoods like Indian Hill, Anderson Township, and the suburbs of Clermont and Warren counties where lots are large enough for in-ground pools. We work directly from your pool contractor's dig specs, coordinate access through your yard to minimize damage, and use the right size equipment for the specific access conditions on your property. If your pool contractor needs the hole by a specific date, we build our schedule around that.

We excavate to your builder's exact dimensions and verify depths before we leave the site.
